Explore Fairbanks on your very own ATV on the Creeks to Peaks ATV Tour!
Hop on a Yamaha Kodiak ATV and explore the trails cutting their way across the landscape connecting Fairbanks with the vast Interior of Alaska. On the Creeks to Peaks ATV tour, we will start low, navigating creek drainages and stands of black spruce. As we make our climb, we’ll leave the lowlands behind, transitioning from spruce stands to birch forests, gradually gaining over 1,200’ of rolling elevation leading to stunning 360° high-country vistas. Along the way, we’ll stop for breaks, snap some pics, and talk about the local area and culture.
We’ll see recent fire scars that burned their way across the landscape in years past, and there’s a chance to see smoke in the distance from active wildfires. We will also get to experience the Trans Alaskan Pipeline and learn about Alaska’s crude oil development. And keep an eye out for animal sightings as we navigate the backcountry trails.
The tour is fully outfitted and led by a local and professional guide. Tour sizes are small, with a maximum of three guests per tour, plus your very own dedicated tour guide. If you would like a private tour, book all three slots to ensure a private tour, and leave us a note saying how many drivers are in your group so we can prepare ATVs.
Transportation can be added to your booking, or you can drive yourself to our location or trailhead. Meeting locations may vary depending on trail conditions, but are typically around a 30 or 45 minute drive from downtown Fairbanks. If you add transportation we pickup from all major hotels. If you are providing your own transportation, we will provide detailed information on the meeting location after booking.
Each tour is unique, so location and duration will vary slightly based on trail and weather conditions. Generally, most tours will last between 3 and 4 hours in total duration (including transportation), and will include 2 full hours of trail riding on the ATV’s.
