All no call, no shows will be charged the full tour rate and will not receive a refund. If inclement weather causes a tour to be cancelled, we will work with you to reschedule your tour. What to Wear
We recommend you dress yourself appropriately for outdoor exposure in the Alaskan winter. Dressing in warm layers is highly recommended. Moisture wicking under layers are always a good idea. Bring any winter and snow outer shells you may have such as snow pants or bibs, and a snow jacket or parka. If you do not have the proper clothing or gear, or if you are not sure, please contact us and we can help you get situated with the proper attire.
What to Bring
Wear warm layers, moisture wicking or wool if possible. Bring winter boots, snow pants/bibs, winter coat/parka, and warm gloves. Having a small backpack or fanny pack is never a bad idea. Bring extra water and snacks, and don’t forget your cameras! Please contact us if you are in need of any of the above items.
Drinks and snacks will be provided on all half day tours, and lunch will be provided on the full day tours. Having your own extra water and snacks is also a good idea! Prior to tour departure, you will be provided instructions on safe and proper snowmobiling techniques. Fuel, oil, and professional guide service are all included. Gratuities are not included, though much appreciated, and are up to each individual customer. We hope you have an amazing experience!
Prior to all scheduled tours, we will meet at our location in the Goldstream Valley (approximately 15 minutes north of downtown Fairbanks). Please contact us prior to your tour and we will provide our address, location, and directions to your scheduled tour.
Checking In & Orientation
For all tours, check-in and orientation will occur upon arrival to our location. You will be required to sign a liability waiver form releasing F.S.S of all liabilities and holding yourself responsible for any damages. We will provide you with helmets, goggles, and balaclavas, and will provide safety instructions and riding techniques. We also offer snow bibs and boots on a first come first serve basis.
F.S.S. carries general liability insurance, insuring all drivers, passengers, and pedestrians. However, F.S.S. does not carry vehicle insurance or collision insurance on the snowmobiles. F.S.S. offers an insurance option for purchase to cover the driver for any damages that may occur during the tour. If an accident occurs due to negligence, that person will be financially responsible for any damages incurred (refer to the liability waiver below).
