Our Story
Born in Fairbanks. Built for the Last Frontier.
Fairbanks Snow Sleighers was born out of our love for Alaska and the great Alaskan outdoors. Exploring and enjoying the Last Frontier is what drives us. Winter snowmachines, summer ATVs, year-round adventures. Two seasons, four tours, one rule: get you out there safely and get you home with something to talk about.
We run small-group guided tours, often private. When you come on a tour with us, you’ll be treated like family. Most tours are one guide and three to five guests — more like a day out riding with friends.

Questions Riders Ask

No. Beginners are welcomed and encouraged. Most guests have never ridden before. Your guide provides orientation, safety briefing, and riding instruction, and paces the tour to your skill level.

Helmets, goggles, balaclavas, winter boots, bib overalls, riding gloves, and mittens. Our snowmobiles have heated handlebar grips. Bring your own winter coat and dress in layers.

Helmets, goggles or glasses, neck gaiters, and rain gear. Wear closed-toe shoes (required). Boots are better for wet or muddy trail sections.

Fairbanks sits directly under the aurora oval. The Northern Lights are visible late August through mid-April. Peak months are February and March.

Not on winter tours. In summer, bears are active in the area, but ATV noise alerts them well ahead of you. Our guides carry bear deterrents and are trained in bear safety.

16 years old with a valid driver’s license. Riders under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

16 to drive. No driver’s license required but state ID or passport needed. Children 6-15 may ride as a passenger. Adult passengers welcome (max 350 lbs per machine).
